Limericks of the Month 2008-2009
by Karen Schoepflin-Hagen

May 2009
This month we must all say “good-bye”
But I betcha the summer will fly
And I really do think
That before you can blink
We'll be back here with hugs, felling sky-high.
April 2009
And now it is time for our show.
We hope thousands of people will go.
We’ll all do our share
And our nostrils will flare
If anyone dare say it’s just “so-so.”
March 2009
We patchers are longing for spring
you can tell – we invented Spring Fling.
There’ll be beauty galore
and our spirits will soar
when we see what Ms. Calhoun will bring.
February 2009
There once was a patcher...could be you
Whose limericks end with line two.
January 2009
(Meeting cancelled due to weather)
Okay now...here is the scoop
All that snow threw us for a loop
No way could we drive
And still stay alive
We needed the month to recoup.
December 2008
Tonight we will have a great feast.
We quilters can eat like any beast.
But if one patcher should dare
To just sit and stare
Her waistline will measure the least.
November 2008
This is the month of the turkey
And the hunters have made their fresh jerky.
With the gardening done
Now it’s time for REAL fun.
Time to plan lots of quilts bright and perky.
October 2008
There was a great group called “Palouse Patchers”
If colds and flu were fabric, they’d by catchers.
They just LOVE that stuff
They can’t get enough
And when it comes to ideas, they’re hatchers.
September 2008
I’ll probably throw you a limerick each time
And I really do hope that they rhyme
But if I forget
And get all upset
I promise each Patcher a dime.
